7:00 pm – Board of Directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the list of issues that were discussed:

7:35 pm – Meeting was called to order – Veterans in attendance led the Pledge of Allegiance & Conservation pledge

 

Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, John Hiser- treasurer, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Secretary, Tom Horstman- Trap, Stephen Gustkey- Pistol, Mike Ripley- Black Powder/Junior Rifle.

Treasurer’s Report: John read the report.

Bills and Communications: Paid normal monthly bills.

Pop: Steve turned in $14.

Rental Committee Report: Peggy turned in $300.

Pistol Team: Steve took in $220, no expenses, kept $66, turned in $156. The pistol team shoots on Thursdays, indoor starting at 5 PM. 22 cal. & Centerfire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All welcome to come practice.

Trap Team: Tom announced there are 33 shooters this year for the winter league. Summer league took in $392, expenses of $209.58, kept $54.73, turned in $127.69. Practice took in $287, expenses of $149.70, kept $41.19, turned in $96.11. Winter trap league is from noon-5pm on Sundays. Anyone is welcome to join. Anyone can still come shoot practice during the winter league from noon-5pm. $3.50 per 25 targets. Open to the general public, club members, and new shooters.

Black Powder: Mike took in $320, expenses of $210, kept $33, turned in $77. 2nd Sunday of each month 11:00 am are the meat shoots (Black powder, closest to bullseye).

Junior Rifle Team: Junior rifle has resumed. Shooting will be on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8pm. Contact Mike Ripley with any questions or interest.

Archery: Still looking for any members willing to join together to make a team to practice.

Fun Indoor Shoot: John turned in $210. They normally shoot every Monday 10am-till shooting is done, doors open at 9 am. Everyone is welcome. Iron/Peep sights with .22 caliber rifles from a rested position. Closest to bullseye wins a prize.

Membership: Brian read new memberships and turned in $1,105 of which $150 goes to the maintenance fund and $955 to the general fund. $70 was turned in for key cards. He reported 101 new members for 2018 which brings a total of 452 Sr, Life and Charter members. Total membership is 632.

Old Business: None

New Business: The old wooden indoor pistol tables will be removed from the club. If anyone would like to have them just take them before they are thrown away. Brian Jesteadt proposed that we let boy scout troop 33 use the hall to stay in during January 19, 20, 21 while they are completing some community service work at Jennings Environmental Center. It was agreed to let them do so. IMPORTANT: It was proposed to the membership of a change to the waiting period to obtain a keycard from one year to 3 months in the by-laws. Will still need to come to a monthly meeting to obtain a key card. This will be VOTED on in the December meeting. Please attend to cast your vote.

Good of the Association: Acknowledged the death of George Queen who was a long time member of the club. Free membership was given to Bob, Heath, and Jesse Cupec for the use of their machinery and storage of clay pigeons. Steve expressed a special thanks to Jessica and Kevin Banghart for a wonderful cooking demonstration.
